New York West, Pastry & Bake Shop is truly one of the best. Located on the Glendale/ Sun City border, this family owned and operated bakery is a must eat. Owners Hugh and Pat McGurgan offer a wide selection of cake, cookies, Italian pastries, breads Danish and so much more.

The McGurgan’s lived and operated a bakery in Chester, NY for 12 years before moving to Arizona in 1997. Both working separate jobs the McGurgan’s decided to open a bakery right here in the west valley. 10 years later New York West Bakery is serving up the finest in traditional sweets for everyone to enjoy.

New York West Pastry & Bake Shops treats are made from scratch; the McGurgan’s even make their own Custards and Canoli Cream. Two of their products you must try are the handmade Danish and the Devil Dog cake. The Danish which are light and not overly sweet are a great buy at $1.50 for your morning routine. The Devil Dog cake is two layers of light chocolate cake with a whipped cream filling and covered in chocolate ganache $2.95.

New York West Pastry & Bake Shop has something for everyone. Holiday seasons are always on the menu as well as the Butter Cookies. The Bakery serves all of the Northwest Valley and Sun City. Make sure you stop in and treat yourself to something sweet and handmade.
